Placer Hills Union School District implements California's Common Core State Standards, including the California Mathematics Framework, California’s English Language Arts/English Language Development Framework, and the State’s Next Generation Science Standards and History Social Studies Frameworks. These standards create a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn.

In light of recent legal developments, including the June 2025 U.S. Supreme Court opinion in Mahmoud v. Taylor, which affirmed expanded parental notice and opt-out rights concerning certain instructional content, the Placer HIlls Union School District (PHUSD) offers the following:
Online access to lists of adopted PHUSD curriculum
In-person access to review all K-8 district adopted curricula by appointment
An opt-out form that will allow parents to request a specific curricular opt-out for their child based on their sincerely held religious beliefs.
