Placer Hills Union School District uses social media to engage the PHUSD community and to celebrate the amazing things happening at our schools.
Social Media Comments Policy
We welcome you and your comments to the Placer Hills Union School District's social media pages.
The purpose of our social media sites is to share news, updates, and information about PHUSD. We use these sites to promote the positive activities happening throughout our District. We encourage questions and comments, but please note this is a moderated online discussion site and not a public forum. Community-contributed content on the page is the opinion of the specific author and does not represent PHUSD.
PHUSD abides by Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities/Terms of Use, and the District asks its followers to do the same. PHUSD reserves the right to delete posted comments and images that are:
• defamatory, pornographic, proprietary, harassing, libelous or may be considered hostile;
• spam or include links to other sites;
• clearly off topic;
• advocate illegal activity;
• promote particular services, products, or political organizations;
• infringe on copyrights or trademarks.
Please note that the comments expressed on this site do not reflect the official opinions and position of the Placer Hills Union School District or the PHUSD Board of Education.
Facebook encourages all users to utilize the "Report" links when they find abusive content.
We appreciate and accept all positive comments and feedback.

If you have pictures, videos, or announcements you would like to share via our social media pages, please send your content with a brief explanation and names of student(s) whose faces are shown in the pictures to districtmedia@phusd.org. Not all content sent to this email address is guaranteed to be shared. Student name(s) will not be posted under any circumstances, but are requested in order to ensure they have not opted-out of social media.
The District respects all students and staff members who wish to opt-out of social media.

Q: If you “like” or “follow” the District’s Facebook page, can they see your personal wall and activity?
A: No.
Q: If you “follow” the District’s Instagram page, can they see your personal profile and activity?
A: No.
NOTE: Check your privacy settings on your social media pages. If your profile is not set to private, then anyone can see your content. If your profile is set to private, then individuals must ask to be your friend or follow your page in order to see your content.
